High-performance vibratory hammers depart for port and urban construction projects in the Philippines
Shanghai, China – Shanghai Yekun Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. today announced the shipment of its first two PCF-450 hydraulic vibratory pile drivers to the Philippines. Following recent exports to India, this marks another significant milestone for the company in the Southeast Asian market, further solidifying the VIBRA brand's presence in the ASEAN region.
The two units, part of Yekun's renowned "Taiwan hammer series," have departed from the Port of Shanghai and are scheduled to arrive at the Port of Manila in mid-April. They will be deployed in several local infrastructure projects, including port expansion, urban flood control works, and industrial plant foundation construction.
As one of Southeast Asia's fastest-growing economies, the Philippines has seen a sustained increase in infrastructure investment in recent years, driven by its "Build, Build, Build" program. To address the country's complex geological conditions—including soft soil, silt layers, and near-shore environments—the PCF-450, with its high centrifugal force (535 kN) , high vibration frequency (3,300 rpm) , and robust box-type structure, has become an ideal choice for local contractors.

It is understood that the equipment was purchased by a major foundation engineering company in the Philippines. It will first be used in the flood wall reinforcement project along the Pasig River in Metro Manila and in steel pipe pile driving for the new port construction in Davao City.
In addition to the Philippines, Shanghai Yekun has exported various models of pile driving equipment to Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. The company also plans to establish a spare parts center in Manila by 2025 to further shorten service response times and enhance the customer experience.
